- Download the latest version here
- Double click on the install icon located on your desktop
- Vista users : Select Authorize
- Follow instructions until the install is finished.

- You can use your pictures as avatars for your YouUp profile, on your blog or your IM.

- * Select a duplicate card you want to trade, then select the card you need. Click confirm.
- * Your trade offer is added to the list. As soon as someone has matching cards, the exchange can be made.
- * You can check your trades status at the "Trading Center"
- * You will be notified by e-mail and a private message when trades are confirmed.

YouUp integrates itself with your webcam, and in most cases your IM program will detect and implement it automatically.
If this is not the case, or of you wish to return to your original camera driver, open Windows Live Messenger (MSN), go to the Tools > Audio and Video Setup > Video menu and select your camera, or YouUp Source from the drop-down menu.
No, this should do:
A webcam
Processor: 2.4Ghz
Ram: 2GB
Operating system: Windows XP (SP2 or SP3, 32-bit) or Vista
(SP1, 32-bit) or Windows 7 (32-bit)
Internet Explorer 7 or higher / Firefox 2.0 or higher
Hard drive space: 16 MB for installation, 100 MB when used

Go to the accessories section by clicking the Cards button.
The icons indicate the location of the accessories. If you are looking for earrings for example, simply click the ears icon.
This is your collection of disguises, accessories and special FX cards. You can sort the list by category. (Soon!)
Just click a card to display the object.

Want to change everything? Click"Clear".
Don't like that particular item? Select it and click the garbage bin.
Lacking inspiration? Click the "generate" button and watch for the result.
Have you noticed a good fairy has given you a whole bunch of free accessories? There are still a lot to discover. Collect them all!

Click the detection button and look towards the webcam. When the button turns green, you're good!
Get closer to your webcam…
Come on, closer, don’t be shy! Brush your hair away from your face and check the lighting: there must be a sufficient amount of light, preferably coming from the front.

You can adjust your mask by double clicking the detection icon. Place the mask on your face. Then change the position, size and rotation of the mask by moving the arrows. Click OK to confirm.

1. Select the Backgrounds tab, then click one of your cards to view the background.
2. Move your head away from the screen, click Clear and wait a few seconds until the background is displayed properly. Best results are with only one light in front of you.
3. After a short loading time your real background is replaced by the one you picked.
4. Cool tip! You can also import your images or videos: click Load and browse your files to select the picture or video you want as your new background.
The interactive objects will greatly improve your movies. Besides spicing up your scenario, they are animated and can create action and have surprise effects.
Select the objects tab, then click a card to display the object or character. For some items, an "options" menu allows to change the settings.
You can also add sound : click "import MP3" and browse your files for your favorite tunes.

Click the red button to start and stop recording. You can record videos up to 3 minutes long.


In the interface, click the Pictures/Video icon to view, edit and publish all your videos and screenshots
On your PC, files are stored in (My) Documents / YouUp
* Go to the 'Collection' section of the website to view all the cards currently available.
* When you complete a part of a collection, you win a free bonus card!
* To complete your collection, you can purchase packs of cards. They're not expensive but some cards may be duplicates of those you already have.
* You're now the proud owner of some new mega-hip cards... Hold on a minute, did you say “duplicates”? That’s right, duplicate cards are very useful because you can trade them and obtain the card you are missing. For more info, read "How do I trade cards?"
* Medals are rewards you can obtain by sharing videos, helping others, in short by participating in the community.
* Some people are more creative, some are more helpful. Everyone can win a medal for doing their best.
* Every positive action you achieve allow you to get points. When you reach a certain level, you win a medal with its own title (for example "Talkative - Plastic")
Your score is an evaluation of your participation in YouUp. It is the sum of all your reputation points. Your score is based on your results for several types of activities. You will see your score increase each time you achieve actions on the website or when using the application. Each activity has an associated medal. Some medals require more effort than others. The most difficult actions allow you to obtain more reputation points.
Compare your results with other players on the scoreboard.
